1. Introduction

This Custom Avatar Policy sets out the legal terms, ethical guidelines, and usage conditions for creating, uploading, and utilizing custom AI avatars within GetShorts.ai. Whether you are generating a custom UGC presenter or a brand spokesperson, this policy ensures all avatars are created responsibly and lawfully.

2. Rights and Permissions

By uploading video, audio, or image data to create a custom avatar, you explicitly warrant that:

• You are the individual depicted in the media, OR
• You have obtained verifiable, written consent and legal clearance from the individual whose likeness and voice are being cloned.

Uploading media of public figures, celebrities, politicians, or any third party without explicit authorization is strictly prohibited and constitutes a material breach of our terms.

3. Deepfake and Impersonation Prohibition

Our Custom Avatar tools are designed for marketing, content creation, and brand storytelling. They must never be used to generate deceptive deepfakes, spread misinformation, or impersonate real people in order to mislead viewers. All content generated using custom avatars must comply with regional AI disclosure laws.

4. Content Moderation and Takedowns

GetShorts.ai employs both automated and manual moderation systems. We reserve the right to review custom avatars and the content generated by them.

If an individual discovers their likeness has been cloned without their consent, they may submit a takedown request to [email protected]. Verified requests will result in the immediate deletion of the avatar, the associated media, and the suspension of the offending account.

5. Data Security and Retention

We treat biometric data (including facial features and voice data) with the utmost sensitivity:

• Source media uploaded for avatar training is processed securely and encrypted at rest.
• Original training files are deleted automatically within a standardized period (typically 30 days) after the avatar has been successfully rendered.
• We do not share your custom avatars with other users or utilize them for broader platform marketing without your explicit consent.

6. Liability and Indemnification

You bear full legal responsibility for the outputs generated using your custom avatars. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GetShorts.ai against any claims, lawsuits, damages, or expenses arising from your unauthorized use of a person's likeness or voice.

As AI regulations evolve, we may update this Custom Avatar Policy. Continued use of the platform constitutes your agreement to the latest terms.
